Dear Friend,
If you've reached this point, I first want to thank you.
There are countless courses that promise quick answers, instant confidence, or simple formulas for living a better life. This was never meant to be one of them. The path of self-discovery asks something much greater of us. It asks us to slow down, to become honest with ourselves, and to remain willing to grow even when growth is uncomfortable. The fact that you have stayed with this process tells me something about you. It tells me that you are willing to invest in becoming, not just knowing.
When I began creating The Cultivated Intuit, I thought I was building a course about intuition. Somewhere along the way, I realized I was really creating a course about becoming the kind of person who can trust themselves because they have learned to live with honesty, humility, wisdom, and compassion.
Intuition was simply the doorway.
The real work has always been the cultivation of character.
If there is one thing I hope you remember, it is that your intuition is not separate from the life you live each day. It is shaped by your habits, your relationships, your healing, your faith, your values, your experiences, and your willingness to keep learning. The clearer your character becomes, the clearer your intuition often becomes as well.
Please don't feel discouraged if you still have questions. I still do.
Don't feel defeated if you make decisions you later wish you had handled differently. I still have those moments too.
Growth has never been about becoming perfect. It has always been about becoming teachable.
Some of my greatest lessons have come through heartbreak, disappointment, mistakes, and seasons I never would have chosen for myself. Looking back, I can now see that those experiences shaped me far more deeply than my successes ever could. They taught me empathy. They humbled me. They reminded me that wisdom is rarely formed in comfort alone.
Perhaps you will discover the same.
As you move forward, I hope you continue making space for quiet. Continue asking thoughtful questions. Continue observing before reacting. Continue treating people with kindness while remaining anchored in truth. Continue choosing integrity, even when it costs you something. And continue extending yourself the same grace you would so willingly offer someone you love.
I also hope you never underestimate the influence you have on those around you. Your greatest contribution to this world may never be something you accomplish. It may simply be the steady presence you become. A person who listens well. A person who brings peace into difficult conversations. A person who chooses wisdom over impulse, curiosity over judgment, and love over fear.
Those people quietly change the world.
Whether we ever meet or not, I am grateful our paths crossed here.
Thank you for allowing me to share part of my journey with you. More importantly, thank you for trusting me enough to reflect on your own. It has been an honour to walk beside you for this small part of your story.
This may be the end of the course, but I sincerely hope it is only the beginning of your cultivation.
Keep tending your garden.
Keep growing your roots.
Keep reaching toward the light.
And whenever life feels uncertain, remember that wisdom is not found in having every answer. It is found in faithfully living the truths you already know.
With gratitude,
Shanda L. Kaus, RN, BScN
